Christine and Victoria each have numerous years of Theatre Education and Performance experience. As Moonlight Productions, their mission is to build the confidence and self-esteem of each and every individual they work with: participants in their classes, actors in training, new artists discovering themselves, seasoned veterans of the craft and everyone in between. They stimulate creativity by using theatre in a unique, fresh and innovative fashion. They strive to create an environment where trust is built, relationships are made and talents are nurtured. Moonlight Productions applies these same principles and standards whether they are staging Theatrical Productions, Producing Events or conducting classes. They have worked with thousands of individuals throughout their career in the Arts. Passion, Integrity, Compassion, and Inspiration are the core of everything they stand for.
Christine Zahra
Christine is a devoted Director, Artist, Vocalist and Educator who has traversed many different roads in the Arts over the years including: Directing, Acting, Choreography, Set Design, Sound Design & Engineering. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dramatic Arts with a concentration in Directing from the College of Staten Island and has eighteen years of dance training in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. She has extensive Directing experience, working in a variety of different forms of Theatre: Performance Art, Dramatic, Shakespearean, Immersive, Comedic, and Musical Theatre. She was also blessed to be invited to The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival to showcase an excerpt she Directed from Sophie Treadwell’s Machinal, and the full production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, that she Assistant Directed and Stage Managed. Christine has been an Independent Audition Coach & Consultant since 1998. In addition to performing in Community Theatre, Christine held the position of Co-Director, Assistant Producer and Choreographer for the Resurrection Church Community Group in Brooklyn from 1998-2005. While there she performed in and Co-Directed annual Cabaret shows. She is proud to have fused her passion for the Creative Arts and working with children in 2012 during Hurricane Sandy. She was introduced to and blessed to collaborate with CampTLC (Together Living a Challenge) during the Hurricane relief effort. That transformational experience led to sharing her services and gifts with St.Mary’s Hospital, The Upstate Autism Alliance and Kids Need More. From 2015 and 2016 Christine was an Actor, Teaching Artist, Stage Manager and Company Manager at Illuminart Productions. From 2016-2018 she was their Program Director. She has also been a Guest Vocalist for The Songbirds over the past decade and occasionally indulges in pop up performances in public and on Social Media.
Victoria Venezia
Victoria is a dedicated Actor, Writer, Director and Educator. The Arts have been alive in her for as long as she can remember, navigating her early years in a world of characters, storytelling and imagination. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dramatic Arts from The College of Staten Island. Victoria is proud to have been a part of John Dapolito’s Master Class in Acting. She also trained as an Actor at Scott Powers Productions for the screen and at HB Studios for the stage where she also studied Voice and Diction. She has over a decade of Screenwriting education and training with Award-Winning Screenwriter Jacob Krueger and was part of his Master Class. She studied Television Writing at NYU’s School of Professional Studies with Michael Zam. Victoria has been an actor in close to forty Plays and Films. Favorite roles include Pace in Naomi Wallace’s The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek and the title role in Euripides’ Medea. In her final year at the College of Staten Island, Victoria organized a V-Day College Campaign (a movement to end violence against women and girls created by Eve Ensler). For this three night event, she Directed and was one of fourteen actors in Ensler’s Award Winning play, The Vagina Monologues. All of the proceeds from the performances and events held after the show were donated to Safe Horizon. She is the writer of numerous original works, many that have been staged as productions including: All The World is a Stage (an interactive murder mystery play) and Changes, A Musical for the Holy Rosary Theater Group (for children & teens) and a her woman show entitled With Milk and Four Equals in which she starred. Victoria worked as a Teaching Artist and Touring Company Actor for Illuminart Productions from 2015-2018 and was their Program Associate from 2017-2018. Victoria also plays the piano, guitar and bass guitar.
